Summer Reading

Thu, 05/21/2015 - 10:58am

It is hot outside so we wanted to share some ways to excite your child(ren) about reading over the Summer.

Our Howard County Library had a Kick-Off of their Summer Reading Game at the Miller Branch on Saturday, May 30th.  Click HERE for more information.

In your child's Monday Folder on May 18th you should have found a summer reading list compiled by Howard County Schools Library Media Specialists and Howard County Librarians.  If you can not lay your hands on that paper copy you can click HERE for an electronic version.

To help your child exercise their mind over the summer click PDF icon RtP_SummerLearning_Spanish_1.pdf to download an article provided by National Association of Elementary School Principals.

A Spanish Language version is available click PDF icon RtP_SummerLearning_Spanish_1.pdf to download.

If you would like access to our FREE e-Tools over the summer click here to access our library media page.  Students in grades 2-5 can find the passwords for these resources on page 14 of their agenda books.  A paper copy of the e-Tools passwords was sent home to all Kindergarten and First Grade students the last week of school.
